UEFA President condemns, however, the behavior of the former president of the Spanish Federation
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin criticized Luis Rubiales’ actions, but does not understand the accusation of sexual assault brought against him by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“What Rubiales did was inappropriate and incomprehensible”, he began by saying in an interview with a Slovenian media outlet, cited by ‘Mundo Deportivo’ and continued: “But when I read that his attitude was considered a serious offense… as a lawyer, This seems completely illogical to me”
Aleksander Ceferin also spoke about the repercussion of the case: “The press took this story to this level of importance.”
It is recalled that the Spanish Public Ministry filed a complaint against Luís Rubiales at the National Court, requesting an investigation into the crimes of sexual assault and coercion.
