In the first game of the Copa do Brasil final, in which the Flamengo was defeated 1-0 by São Paulo, last Sunday, the 17th, coach Jorge Sampaoli was the target of criticism from reporter Eric Faria. The attacks made by Faria were recorded in audio that leaked from the Globo broadcast and circulated on messaging apps and social networks since Sunday night.
In these audios, during the break of the match, when the score was already 1-0 for São Paulo, Eric Faria was talking to Luís Roberto, Ricardinho and Roger Flores. At one point, the reporter refers to Sampaoli in a pejorative way, calling him an “imbecile” and complaining about his lack of repetition in the lineup. In the confrontation against São Paulo, the coach chose to select Gabriel Barbosa (Gabigol), Bruno Henrique and Pedro, players who rarely played together during the year. Globo has not commented on the matter so far.
“If you want to remember Flamengo’s two best performances with this idiot… Botafogo e Guild“, he began. “Friends, the left-back went to the Brazilian team and since Sampaoli arrived, he hasn’t played. Ayrton Lucas, today, was a dead body in the game”, he continued.
The entire TV Globo broadcast was ‘revolted’ by Sampaoli.
Just one question, how did they manage to record that there? Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

“He has problems seeing the game, understanding what he has in his hand. That’s unbelievable, man. That’s a cognitive problem. It can only be, guys. He could make the same lineup that played well 15 days ago (against Botafogo). He can’t repeat it. It must be some OCD of his. He shouldn’t repeat socks, underwear, anything in life”, he said.
At another point, Luís Roberto questioned Sampaoli’s permanence at the club, stating that the coach should have been fired before the final, especially after the 3-0 defeat to Athletico-PR, in a game valid for the Brasileirão, the previous Wednesday. “Wednesday, what was that? He should have been fired on Wednesday”, said the narrator.
Despite the criticism, the expectation is that Sampaoli will not be fired, at least until the second game of the Copa do Brasil final, which takes place on Sunday, the 24th, at Morumbi. After the defeat at Maracanã, Flamengo’s vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, confirmed that the coach will remain in his position.
