As we all know, during his time on Geordie Shore, Ricci’s eyes were more focused on his love affair than his own appearance, but when he injured his nose during an argument, he began to descend into surgery addiction. Later he told the Daily Mail Australia in 2019,
I used to hate plastic surgery and was never interested in it, but now I understand when people get plastic surgery for the first time (it can become addictive). I just got my veneers done, so this stuff (self-improvement) never ends. I’ve had fillers and Botox, but that doesn’t really bother me that much anymore.
Ricci probably spoke on the podcast So this is growing up about getting his first nose job after breaking it. He had not previously expressed an interest in cosmetic surgery, but one thing led to another. He declared,
I wasn’t a fan of surgery at all at the time, I just never worried about it. And after I got my nose done, I thought it actually made me look a little better. And then one thing led to another, and over the years I got Botox and stuff like that. And now I’m on my fifth sight.
According to Ricci, reality stars are often offered free plastic surgery treatments and struggle to say no due to the pressure to look a specific way. He warned others and said:
It’s a slippery slope with operations. I’ll tell people that because that’s what I started with, that first bit of surgery. You’re constantly looking in the mirror and thinking, ‘What can I do now?’ and ‘Oh, I can improve that’. And especially as you get older, you notice that your skin may no longer be as tight.
Additionally, Ricci added to the podcast saying:
I went through a really bad phase where I was like, ‘What can I do now?’ I’ve had my eyelids done, my nose done twice, my jaw tightened… so you are indeed falling into a trap. Especially in our position now because we get it all for free. So when you get all that, you get the feeling of ‘I can do this and that,’ and it’s a slippery slope.

Ricci Guarnaccio has confessed that he still has a strained relationship with one of his castmates. Things were pretty tough with Vicky at the time. We did Ex On The Beach together with her, it was quite a tough ride for the two of us and everyone in the house. It was one of the strongest storylines in the house. It was pretty brutal. In a way, strangely enough, it’s given us both great careers.
