Saint Joseph’s returns home to host George Washington on Wednesday at 7 p.m.  Wednesday’s contest will be televised on NBC Sports Philadelphia and streamed on ESPN+, with audio broadcast available on

• Wednesday marks the lone meeting this season between the Hawks and Revolutionaries.

• Saint Joseph’s holds a 39-30 edge in the all-time series, and has won two straight over George Washington.

Erik Reynolds II scored a career-best 34 points in the previous meting with the Revolutionaries as St. Joe’s topped George Washington, 87-76, in the Second Round of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship last March.

• Saint Joseph’s is looking to bounce back from a 66-56 loss at Duquesne on Saturday.

Cameron Brown scored a game-high 18 points, and added four rebounds and a blocked shot versus the Dukes.

Rasheer Fleming matched his career-high with 12 rebounds, and had six points and three steals on Saturday.

 • Xzayvier Brown finished with a season-best five steals and chipped in with eight points, six rebounds and three assists against Duquesne.

• For the third time this season, and second consecutive week, Xzayvier Brown was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.

• Over a pair of games on the week, Brown averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists per contest.

• Brown’s 29 points on Wednesday at Loyola Chicago were the most by a St. Joe’s freshman since Jameer Nelson scored 34 against George Washington on January 10, 2001.


Wednesday marks the 70th meeting between Saint Joseph’s and George Washington … Saint Joseph’s is 22-10 all-time versus the Revolutionaries in Philadelphia … The Hawks topped the Colonials, 81-69, in last year’s meeting on Hawk Hill (2/11/23) … Erik Reynolds II and Lynn Greer III combined for 46 points in Saint Joseph’s victory.
